Teenager was crowned Young Player of the Tournament and congratulated by Prince William

The teenager made her England debut in April, and took just 41 seconds to score her first goal. That earned her a spot in Sarina Wiegman's Euros squad - even if Agyemang thought it was a prank.

But her origin story actually begins four years ago when she was a ballgirl for Sarina Wiegman’s third game in charge of England.

This month has seen Agyemang play the role of super-sub superbly, coming off the bench in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals to score the goal which kept England in the tournament.

And on Sunday, she was crowned Young Player of the Tournament by organisers UEFA.

She told ITV: "It just feels surreal, you know. And I'm so grateful to God that we're here. Because, you know, at the beginning of the tournament, it seemed like we wouldn't get here, but here we are.

"It means the world to me. It's only four years ago [that I was ballgirl], it's such a short amount of time, but to be here, I'm thankful to my team-mates, to the coaches and staff."

Asked what's to come from the 19-year-old, Agyemang said: "I want to keep working hard. I want to keep winning tournaments. I want to keep doing what I can to help the team, to help my club and our country."
