Arsenal submitted second bid for Moises Caicedo in their pursuit of acquiring him from Brighton Hove & Albion

Arsenal have made a second proposal for Moises Caicedo as Chelsea and the Gunners compete for the Ecuadorian due to their desire to sign the midfielder.

The revelation comes after the Daily Mail (h/t Caught Offside)  revealed that Arsenal made a second offer for £60 million plus £10 million in add-ons. However, it is believed that Brighton, Hove, and Albion will reject the offer since they want £80 million for the midfielder.

Following the club’s rejection of their initial £60 million proposal, Arsenal made a second offer, and it now appears that Chelsea and Arsenal will once again participate in a bidding war.

Moises Caicedo requests Brighton & Hove Albion exit amidst Chelsea and Arsenal interest.

The West Londoners are reportedly planning to make another approach for the youngster after the Seagulls turned down their first offer of £55 million.

Initially, Brighton were reluctant to sell the 21-year-old, but they are now willing to consider the other club’s offer in the region of £80 million.

Caicedo was also absent from Saturday’s training and will not play in the FA Cup match against Liverpool, as he is trying to force himself out of the club. Since joining Brighton, Caicedo has made 31 appearances, scoring twice and providing three assists. He has previously played for Graham Potter at Brighton.

Brighton’s bid to replace Moises Caicedo rejected with Chelsea circling the South American.

He has been most fruitful under Potter, with two goals and two assists in 16 appearances for the Seagulls. If he joins Chelsea, he will comprehend what the 47-year-old will be demanding from him and be able to thrive in Potter’s system.

Chelsea are in urgent need of a midfielder due to their poor Premier League form, despite the fact that the situations at Arsenal and Chelsea are directly opposed to each other.

Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, and Mohamed Elneny make up Arsenal’s defensive midfield depth and Caicedo will be an obvious strong addition to that lineup, given his age and quality. Chelsea’s defensive midfield is well stocked, but the quality hasn’t been shown throughout games.

However, the player is free to choose where he goes if he departs Brighton, and we hope he joins Chelsea considering he has already worked with Potter in the past.
