"I'm an ambitious player," said the striker. “I want the best for myself, the team and of course the club. I've seen the new colleagues in action a little. I think Viktoria is a good team. So I think we are on the right track."

Moller joined Arsenal only in October from Malmo FF. The centre-forward, who has just turned 19, impressed for Arsenal in the Premier League 2 competition last season. He scored eight times and assisted three from his 18 appearances for the under-23s.

Marcus Steegmann, Sport Director of Viktoria Köln, appreciates the Swede's qualities.

He told the club's website: “Nikolaj Möller is a very talented player. He is tall and has a strong physique - paired with good technique. I am convinced that he fits into our team very well. He is a young player who has great development potential and wants to take the next steps with us."

Standing at 6ft 4in, Moller joined Malmo as a 13 year-old after being spotted when with the Helsingborgsklubben Ramlosa Sodra summer academy. Moller had a short spell as a youth teamer with Bologna, though eventually returned to Malmo when deciding against signing pro terms tabled by the Serie A outfit.

Meanwhile, last season Viktoria Koln finished in 12th place on Germany's 3.Liga table.
