Amanda Ilestedt scored her first Arsenal goal to deliver a late blow to Southampton in the Conti Cup.

The hosts took a second-half lead at St Mary’s through Molly Pike’s effort inside the penalty area from Katie Wilkinson’s assist.

But the Gunners struck back as Frida Maanum levelled just five minutes later with a strike into the roof of the net.

Poacher turned provider deep into added time as Maanum teed up Ilestedt to glance home from a left-side corner.

Jonas Eidevall’s side overtook the Saints to move second in Group D, level with local rivals Tottenham on six points.
