According to La Provence, Arsenal are set to command a substantial fee to allow Olympique de Marseille target Eddie Nketiah (25) to leave the Emirates during the summer transfer window. Roberto De Zerbi hopes to bring the former England U21 international to the Stade Vélodrome as he looks to revamp his playing squad before the start of the Ligue 1 season.
Nketiah appears to be keen on the potential prospect of playing for Marseille. La Provence reports that OM are close to agreeing personal terms with the 25-year-old ahead of a potential move to the South of France. However, Arsenal are unwilling to sell their academy graduate cheaply during the transfer window. Marseille may struggle to complete a deal with the Premier League outfit unwilling to let Nketiah leave easily and potentially pricing them out of a move.
Busy window ahead at OM
In addition to pursuing a deal for the Arsenal striker, Les Olympiens are also working on several other deals. A deal for Valentín Carboni is also on the radar for OM, La Provence reports. Marseille are also working on a deal to sign Derek Cornelius from Malmo, according to Fabrice Hawkins.
