Gunners striker is looking for more regular first-team football after a switch to France fell through
Forest have had an opening bid for Nketiah worth £25million rejected as Arsenal hold out for at least £30m.
Nketiah has been identified by Forest as a transfer target as they bid to bolster their frontline for head coach Nuno Espirito Santo. They are also interested in Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez.
Nketiah, who was an unused substitute for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday, scored six goals in 37 appearances for the Gunners last season. In total, he has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for Arsenal.

He earned his first England cap last season and a move to Forest would offer him more regular football.
Nketiah had agreed personal terms with Marseille earlier this summer but the two clubs were unable to agree on a transfer fee and the deal collapsed.
He has also attracted interest from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace but Forest hope to seal a deal before the end of the transfer window on August 30.
Arsenal are ready to offload Nketiah as part of a clear-out of unwanted players. Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson could also leave the Emirates Stadium before next week’s deadline.
