Sky Germany reports Arsenal are one of the clubs to hold talks with Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich over a potential free transfer in the summer.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Bayern Munich had withdrawn their contract offer for the midfielder after he took too long to come to a decision on whether to extend his contract or not. Kimmich had an offer from Bayern that was worth €20-22m per year in salary with the deal lasting until 2028.
Arsenal see Kimmich as a replacement for Jorginho, whose contract in North London also expires in the summer. The Premier League side are one of the two teams to have made an offer, the other team is currently unknown.
Kimmich has informed Bayern of the offers. Discussions between Kimmich’s camp and Bayern are still ongoing and both parties are still open to an extension. Bayern are ready to negotiate again but will only offer the midfielder the same salary or even less.
