It was almost over before it started before as bottom side Bristol City could barely get a kick of the ball in the opening minutes.

Arsenal’s dominance was capped off by a Beth Mead strike just seven minutes in, which she later followed up with another goal just past the half-hour mark.

Any hope of a Bristol City turnaround was quashed just two minutes later when an Ella Powell own-goal saw Arsenal go three ahead before the break.

The hosts backed up their first-half dominance with more of the same in the second, and a Alessia Russo brace capped off the impressive showing.
