Arsenal enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win over Ipswich Town who had Leif Davis sent off in the first half.

In truth, that red card for Davis had little impact on the result with the Gunners already 2-0 up by the point.

Leo Trossard opened the scoring inside the first 15 minutes of the game when he managed to sneak what was a scruffy, off-balance finish into the corner.

The lead was doubled with just under a half hour gone through Gabriel Martinelli. Mikel Merino flicked a low cross in from the right into the path of the Brazilian who made no mistake.

Just a few minutes later, it went from bad to worse for the home side when Leif Davis was given a red card for an obviously cynical foul on Bukayo Saka with the Ipswich man making no attempt to win the ball as he caught the back of Saka's heel.

From that point, the result was essentially assured with Trossard scoring what looked like a strangely simple goal following a short corner routine in which the Ipswich defence looked completely asleep.

The Tractor Boys didn't learn their lesson and Ethan Nwaneri made it 4-0 late on from a corner from the right that again the home side weren't able to defend with the youngster's deflected effort finding the net.
