Man Utd are one of many European clubs to be ‘offered’ the chance to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to a report.

Vlahovic turned down a move to Arsenal last year in favour of a £71.6million switch to Juventus.

Mikel Arteta made the Serbian his top transfer target in the 2022 winter transfer window but could not lure him from Fiorentina.

Despite a solid start to life in Turin, things have gone a bit sour for the 22-year-old.

He has been out injured since October, with Juventus’ form magically improving with the big-money striker absent.

Vlahovic has been linked with a shock exit this month, only a year on from joining the Italian giants, with Arsenal amongst those reportedly keen.

Arteta probably has no intention of signing the Serbian international after he turned the Gunners down last year. The Premier League leaders also signed Gabriel Jesus last summer so a new striker is not high on the agenda.

However, the Spanish manager may sense a fire sale at the Allianz Stadium after Juventus were deducted 15 points following an investigation into the club’s past transfer dealings.

The points deduction leaves Juve 10th in Serie A and facing an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League.

They have already been knocked out of the competition this season and will play French club Nantes in the first knockout round of the Europa League.

Winning the Europa League could be Juve’s best chance to make it into Europe’s premier competition with 12 points now separating them and Lazio, who are fourth in Serie A.

With Vlahovic not enjoying the best of times at Juve and Champions League qualification at risk, the striker’s future at the club has been cast in doubt.

The report claims that Champions League football is ‘important to Vlahovic’, who is eager to play in the competition in 2023-24.

Man Utd need a new striker and are in a strong position to finish in the top four in the Premier League, making them the early favourites to sign the 22-year-old.

However, Chelsea – who are not in a strong position to finish in the top four – and Arsenal have also been offered Vlahovic.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have been ‘made aware’ of the player’s availability.

Juve are ‘understanding’ of Vlahovic’s desire and may even be willing to offload the former Fiorentina talisman this month.

It is said that the Serie A giants would want to recoup the £71m they paid to sign Vlahovic.

Despite ‘always liking’ the player, Man Utd have never made an official bid to sign the striker but could accelerate their interest with Vlahovic eager to play under Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils have also been linked with Tottenham striker Harry Kane, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, and RB Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko.

Ten Hag is set to have a big say on Man Utd’s summer business, with Champions League qualification giving them a lot more freedom to spend heavily.
