In a recent report, Calciomercato mentioned that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti. It has been claimed that the Gunners are monitoring the progress of the Italian talent ahead of a potential move in the future.

Miretti’s Impressive Form In Italian Football This Season

Miretti is having a decent campaign at the Allianz Stadium as he has put in a series of energetic displays at the centre of Juve’s midfield. The Pinerolo-born sensation has picked up one assist and a couple of yellow cards in nine matches for the Turin outfit last season across all fronts.

The 19-year-old has proven himself to be a valuable presence in the middle of the park by averaging 1.4 tackles, 1.3 shots, 1.3 key passes and 0.7 crosses per game in Serie A football. However, he needs to work on improving his ball distribution after completing 72.8% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Italian football (stats via whoscored).

Miretti is under contract with the Turin giants until the summer of 2026. Therefore, it won’t be easy for Arsenal to lure him away to England on the cheap next year.

Is Miretti A Good Choice For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?

Miretti can get stuck in with some solid tackles to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park. He has got the vision to play a few decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with power and accuracy from long range. Miretti is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also act as a holding midfielder or even play in the number ten position if required.

The Italy Under-21 international has shown some flashes of what he is capable of for Juventus this season but needs to improve his passing if he wants to become a top player in his position someday.

At 19, Miretti has got the potential to become a success story at the Emirates Stadium if Arsenal can find a way to get a deal over the line for the gifted youngster in January or at the end of this season.

We can expect Miretti to add more energy and dynamism to Mikel Arteta‘s attack at the North London club. Thus, it makes sense for the Gunners to orchestrate a move to acquire the Italian whizkid’s services in the future as he could help Arteta’s team challenge across all competitions in the coming seasons.
