According to Kicker, Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld have reached an agreement in principle to sign 23-year-old midfielder Sebastian Vasiliadis from Paderborn on a free transfer.
Arminia Bielefeld have shown previous interest in signing the midfielder but were unable to reach an agreement with 2. Bundesliga Paderborn last summer and so, Vasiliadis will join the club when his contract expires.
Vasiliadis has vital Bundesliga experience having played 32 games in the top division for Paderborn last season and although relegated, he was statistically one of Paderborn’s best performers.
Kicker also reported last week that Arminia Bielefeld have also reached an agreement with Holstein Kiel forward Janni Serra – the 22-year-old will also join the Bundesliga club when his contract expires in the summer.
Serra played in Holstein Kiel’s win against Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal and has played 18 games in all competitions for the 2. Bundesliga side this season, scoring seven and creating two.
