Argentine giants Racing Club keen to land América's Roger Martínez

Club América registered Roger Martínez for the 2021 Guard1anes season, however, as we mentioned yesterday, he is one of the players the club have very little interest in retaining.

Luckily for the Eagles, the player himself is willing to go abroad and, according to journalist Rubén Beristáin, Racing Club are interested in signing the Colombian forward.

It’s worth mentioning that Martínez has a lot of history in Argentina, working his way through several youth systems before making his professional debut with Racing Club in 2013.

Between 2013 and 2016, Martínez featured a total of 30 times for Racing Club, scoring eight goals while also featuring on loan with Deportivo Santamarina and Aldosivi during that time.

The biggest issue, of course, is the steep price América are asking for the player, which, at the moment, stands at $8m.
