Argentina reveal their squad numbers for the World Cup | OneFootball

Less than three weeks before Russia 2018, Argentina has decided which numbers to put on the players’ backs.

La Albiceleste are putting the finishing touches in their preparation for the World Cup and assigned numbers for each player today.

While Lionel Messi will, of course, wear the number 10, Sergio Agüero will debut a new number for his national side, adding 19 to his variety of previous selections that include 7, 9, 10, 11, 16, and 20.

Agüero wore the number 19 during his early years with the Argentine youth teams, last wearing the number as a member of the U-20s. Perhaps an homage to his roots?
