Antonio Rudiger was once again Chelsea’s hero in their win against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge, and it had Blues fans shouting to pay whatever he wants to get him to stay at the club.

Whilst the defender’s contract situation is still up in the air, he is out on that pitch literally fighting for every point in a Chelsea shirt and nobody can ever doubt his commitment and passion for the cause.

He won two penalties for Chelsea yesterday which essentially won them the game and saw them take all three points, which was very lucky in the end against a good and high intensity Leeds United side.

Rudiger describes himself as ‘crazy’ for even being up in the those high positions on the pitch to win the penalties, being his position is at left centre back!

“It is crazy I get myself in positions like this in the last minutes against United and I was there now against Leeds,” Rudiger told the Chelsea website.

“For me it’s important just to try to help the team and show who I am. I just thought okay, let’s go forward as there is nothing to lose.”

But Chelsea fans love him for his ‘craziness’ and if he wasn’t the way he is, we would have lost to Leeds yesterday. Let’s get this contract wrapped up!
