According to the Telegraph’s Matt Law, Tottenham are no longer pursuing former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte to permanently replace José Mourinho.
Gianluca Di Marzio claimed earlier in the day that Conte was concerned over the club’s ambitions, which reportedly included a transfer budget not to his liking.
Fabrizio Romano also claimed that Tottenham were not enthusiastic over the prospect of Conte bringing four of his own staff members to the club, with a massive gap in potential wages being a key hurdle.
The news comes on the same day that reports claimed that Tottenham made an offer to Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici.
Paratici’s potential appointment will not be affected by Conte’s decision.
Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter has also been linked to the vacant position.
