Real Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Atalanta was marred by yet another muscle discomfort, this time involving Jude Bellingham, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The match, which saw star forward Kylian Mbappe suffer an injury early on, also highlighted Bellingham’s physical exhaustion.
Mbappe’s problem marked the 27th injury of the season for the Spanish giants, and while the results of Mbappe’s injury will be revealed on Thursday, Bellingham’s condition has become another worrying issue for the team.
Bellingham, who has been in exceptional form this season, gave his all during the match, contributing significantly to Real Madrid’s win.
However, his physical state deteriorated as the game progressed. Manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed after the match that the English midfielder was exhausted.
Bellingham was substituted in the 88th minute, and his weariness was evident as he made his way to the bench. The visible signs of fatigue were concerning, especially given his key role in the team’s performance.

During the game, Bellingham seemed to struggle with discomfort in the back of his left thigh, an issue that had also troubled him in a previous match against Girona.
In that game, Bellingham had to be substituted after experiencing pain in the same area, which led to concerns about a potential injury.
Fortunately, tests following that match revealed no serious injury, just muscle overload. However, it is clear that the issue has not been fully resolved, as his discomfort resurfaced against Atalanta.
Despite undergoing further tests after the Girona match, Bellingham’s repeated signs of discomfort during the Atalanta game suggest that the muscle overload has not completely healed.
This raises concerns for both Bellingham’s fitness and the impact on Real Madrid’s midfield if the issue worsens.
It remains to be seen whether he will be able to recover fully in time for the upcoming matches, or if further treatment will be necessary.
