Trip to Lustenau on Saturday

There is one Austria down - after our victory against our local rivals in the UNIQA ÖFB Cup on Tuesday, and our boys will be looking to complete an Austria double tomorrow in Lustenau. Markus Mader's side await at 17:00 CET as part of the ninth ADMIRAL Bundesliga gameweek.

The clash will be our final appearance at the Reichshofstadion in its current guise - with demolition work due to start on 13 November. A new stadium is to open at the same location by summer 2025. We have every chance of making a fond farewell appearance, with a superb head-to-head history with the hosts in our handful of previous clashes - we have a 100% record against them in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga with a combined goal difference of 10-0 and have won two meetings in the UNIQA ÖFB Cup in similarly convincing fashion with a 5-0 win in the 2019/20 final!

Lustenau are not exactly a happy camp at the moment with only two points to their name so far this season, and four of their past five matches being lost without scoring. Their lead goal threat Lukas Fridrikas has suffered injury misfortune, playing just 127 minutes since the start of August. Nikolai Baden Frederiksen should be able to help on his return to Austria, especially if their UNIQA ÖFB Cup over Vienna in midweek is anything to go by - when he netted an incredible goal from his own half!

Our Red Bulls will do everything to bounce back from their 0-1 defeat to Blau-Weiß Linz last weekend and extend their record run of 19 away matches unbeaten. We have only lost one of our past 23 league matches against teams from the state of Vorarlberg and are unbeaten in 15 matches against teams with Austria in their name (12 wins and three draws).

Markus Hameter is to officiate, and you can follow the encounter via our usual live text updates.

That Lustenau are struggling in the table should make it a difficult match against determined opponents. We have done really well so far and want to make up for the home defeat last weekend. We aren't thinking of the Champions League yet, all that matters is Austria Lustenau!

Gerhard Struber

Winning in the cup and making the next round did us good. That is all behind us now, and we have to concentrate on our next challenge. If first is playing last in the table, it seems straightforward on paper. We have to show on the pitch though that we are better and determined to take three points again.
