Ange Postecoglou gave a restrained response to Celtic’s facile win over Dundee United at Tannadice on Sunday.
Tom Rogic, David Turnbull and Liam Scales all registered cracking goals for the visitors, who enjoyed over 70% of possession.
“It was a good performance from start to finish. I thought we started the game very well, we were very dominant and went right to the end,” manager Postecoglou said, per the club website.
“We scored three really nice goals, and could have had more than that.
“But overall, it’s not an easy trip for us as they are a good side, they don’t concede a lot of goals, particularly here at home, so I thought it was a good performance.”
It was a particularly special day for left-back Scales who scored on his Celtic league debut just six minutes after replacing Greg Taylor.
“It’s great for him, he’s worked hard in training every day just waiting for his opportunity, and, like with all these guys, I can’t guarantee them when that will come,” Postecoglou said of the young Irishman.
“If it does come for them, they’ve got to be ready for it and Scales is doing everything right in training to make sure that he’s ready.”
The victory keeps the Bhoys four points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Rangers.
