Nottingham Forest defender Andrew Omobamidele has completed a permanent switch to Strasbourg after a brief loan spell with the French club.

The 21-year-old made 11 appearances following his January move to Ligue 1, and has now signed a four-year contract that keeps him at the club until the summer of 2029.

Omobamidele, who joined Forest from Norwich City in August 2023, had grown increasingly frustrated by a lack of playing time at the City Ground, featuring only 15 times over a span of 18 months, which also saw him drop out of the Ireland squad.

Despite an injury limiting his game time in France - he made ten appearances, seven of them starts - Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior has opted to make the deal permanent.
