Who is Andrés García

García, born in Valencia, began his football career at Inter San José, joining Levante in 2021.

He made his first appearance for their B team in September 2022, with a full senior debut following a few months later in January 2023, when he was introduced as a substitute in a 3-2 home victory over Getafe CF.

The right-back has continued to impress this season, making 22 appearances in La Liga 2, helping Levante to fourth in the table. He has also contributed to six goal contributions (3 goals and 3 assists).

García is known for his pace and willingness to get up the field and is often deplied as a right-wing back.

Tremendous honour

García described his move to Aston Villa as a “tremendous hounour” when talking to avfc.co.uk.

“I would say that, (with) the qualities I have as a footballer, the traits, I think the Premier League is the ideal league for the way I play.

“To be able to achieve this at only 21-years-old, it’s a really proud moment for me, as well as a challenge, and to be able to learn from the players that are here in the club is going to be really good for me, and a big step.

“There are players here with great careers, with lots of quality. It’s a challenge for me, but I’m excited to face it.

“For me, it’s a tremendous honour to be able to defend these colours, and I’m looking forward to the moment to be able to do that.”

The Spaniad could make his debut this weekend when Villa host West Ham United at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
