Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Anderlecht are expected to announce the signings of Ludwig Augustinsson and Thomas Foket this week. Both will be a huge boost to a defence that is lacking in players at the moment. At the weekend Brian Riemer had to put out a makeshift back line, with midfielder Theo Leoni filling in at center-back alongside Jan Vertonghen. Augustinsson has been a target all summer following his loan spell at the club last season. The 30-year-old Swedish defender only had one year remaining on his contract with Spanish side Sevilla.

Foket will come across the border from France to join the Brussels club. The 29-year-old Belgian right-back adds experience and also had only one year remaining on his contract with Stade Reims. Foket returns to the Belgian Pro League for the first time since leaving Gent six years ago. In the summer of 2018 he cost Stade Reims around €3.5m. He leaves having made 189 appearances for the club, scoring once and grabbing eight assists.
