Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has addressed the media ahead of their clash with Valladolid on Sunday.
This is the best of what he had to say.
“If Brazil want me that’s good, I’m delighted but I want to fulfil my contract so that doesn’t mean much. I love Real Madrid.
“I don’t know the president of the Brazil federation but if he wants to talk to me then I’d be happy to talk to him.
“We’re not thinking about my future. The players aren’t thinking about their own renewals either. All we’re focused on right now is Valladolid, then Barcelona and then Chelsea.
“I’m not surprised that there are rumours but I’m not worried about that. I’ll stay here until the club don’t want me. There’s two months left to try to win trophies and after that hopefully I can continue.
“I’ve talked before about retiring after Real Madrid. Perhaps but I don’t say that today.”
“The players who played with their national teams have all came back fine and in good shape so we’re ready for the game.
“Over the course of the season, we’ve had the same problems as other teams. [Ferland] Mendy hasn’t had any luck this season.”
“He wouldn’t have problems if he played for another team? If my grandfather had wheels, he would be a car [laughs].”
