According to L’Équipe, Ada Hegerberg (28) is prepared to extend her stay at Olympique Lyonnais beyond the end of her contract in June.
In the past few weeks, the current Divison 1 champions are reported to have convinced the Norwegian forward to continue her incredible stay in France. Since joining the club in 2014, Hegerberg has scored 264 goals in 244 matches, and become an eight-time league winner and a six-time Champions League winner.
At Lyon, Hegerberg became the record goal scorer in the UEFA Women’s Champions League with 64 goals and has a chance to add to her already historic record with the double-headed tie against Paris Saint-Germain later this month (on the 20th and 28th)
Le Classique in the upcoming semis will ensure French representation in the final of the Champions League, and Hegerberg and Lyon will be desperate to add to their overflowing trophy cabinet, especially at the expense of their fiercest rivals.
