Newport 1-1 Brighton – Brighton win on penalties

In what was a close first half the best moment came late on when Newport goalkeeper Tom King did this.

But in the dying moments, the Premier League side eventually took the lead through Solly March.

Astonishingly though, the game wasn’t over as Aaron Webster put one in his own net in the 94th minute to take the match into extra time.

The game went into extra time and after plenty of missed opportunities, Brighton won to make it through to the fourth round.

Marine 0-5 Tottenham

Eighth division Marine went close to taking the lead with a remarkable goal when trainee plumber Neil Kengni’s strike from distance beat Joe Hart and rattled the crossbar!

But Tottenham finally broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, when Dele Alli’s cross was scrambled home by Carlos Vinicius at the back post.

Five minutes later, Vinicius was on hand to tap home again from close range for 2-0.

In the 32nd minute it was 3-0 thanks to a super free-kick from Lucas Moura.

Vinicius then completed his hat-trick to make it 4-0 with 37 minutes on the clock.

16-year-old Alfie Devine became Spurs’ youngest ever player when he came on at half-time, and he soon became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer when he made it 5-0 on the hour mark.
