Following just one goal scored in their previous two matches, Derby County got back to their best on Saturday afternoon with a 4-2 success over Bristol Rovers in League One action.
Paul Warne has had an up-and-down start to life at Rams head coach since his move from Rotherham, but a change of tactics and system saw the Gas put to the sword in a frantic first 45 minutes.
The action is coming thick and fast though for Warne and co as they make the trip to Lancashire on Tuesday to take on Morecambe at the Mazuma Stadium.

Let’s round up the latest Derby news ahead of that away clash for League One’s seventh-placed side that is coming up.
Championship striker on County radar

As reported by The Sun over the weekend, Norwich City striker Adam Idah could be on Warne’s radar with the January transfer window opening in two months time.
The Republic of Ireland international has endured a tough start to the 2022-23 campaign with Norwich and has recently been sidelined with a knee injury, with his game-time potentially limited once he is back fit.
Warne wanted Idah when he was Rotherham manager, so despite the fact that two young forwards are already on loan at Pride Park in William Osula and Lewis Dobbin, a third could be added when the window re-opens.
Winger could be absent for Morecambe
Derby well and truly blew Bristol Rovers away at the weekend, with one of the creative sparks being Nathaniel Mendez-Laing out wide.
A change of systems saw the 30-year-old play further forward as opposed to being a wing-back, and Mendez-Laing flourished with two assists.
Mendez-Laing was withdrawn with 10 minutes to play, and Warne has now hinted in his pre-match press conference that the speedster may not be fit enough to take part against Morecambe this week.
Therefore, Tom Barkhuizen may come in as a direct swap for the ex-Cardiff City man on the right flank, as Warne alluded that he may make that specific change.
For the first time in his long career, David McGoldrick netted a hat-trick as Derby ran out 4-2 winners over Bristol Rovers on home soil.
Also on the scoresheet was his strike partner James Collins, and speaking after the match, Rovers manager Joey Barton heaped praise on the duo, admitting that they were the main reason for his side’s downfall.
“Collins and McGoldrick are quality operators, certainly at League One level,” Barton said, per the Derby Telegraph.
“You see the level of McGoldrick’s finishing, it was first class, and we will have to learn those lessons.
