ANTIGUA, Guatemala - The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continued with a nil-nil draw between Antigua GFC and Alianza FC in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Pensativo in Antigua, Guatemala.

The hosts had an early look in the 5’, with an Óscar Santis right-footed shot from over 35 yards saved by Alianza goalkeeper Mario González.

Óscar Castellanos had another opportunity for Antigua in the 25’, but his attempt from outside the box was met by another save from González.

Alianza created several opportunities in quick succession, highlighted by attempts in the 31’ and 35’. First with a shot on an open net from Noel Rivera from the left side of the box that was just wide of the left post. Then, by a header from Emerson Mauricio from the center of the box that was just high above the crossbar.

Antigua nearly found a late winner in the 90+1’, but a header from Francisco Apaoloza was saved before another header from Juan Osorio was cleared off the line.

Both goalkeepers delivered solid performance to collect clean sheets. Antigua’s Luis Morán recorded one save, while Alianza’s González made five saves.

Antigua will host Plaza Amador next Tuesday. Alianza will host Managua FC on Wednesday.
