Alexis Sanchez could seal Marseille return | OneFootball

Chilean international striker Alexis Sanchez could be on the point of making a return to Marseille, after his contract with Inter came to an end this summer.

The 35-year-old, who joined Marseille from Inter in 2022, before heading back to Serie A 12 months later, is currently a free-agent and is desperate to end his career in one of Europe’s top leagues.

Sanchez has been on Copa America with his country over the past few weeks and is currently on holiday as he plans his next move.

The veteran made 23 appearances in Serie A last term, scoring twice and making five assists which was impressive as he only spent 750 minutes on the pitch.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, new Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi would be open to a return for Sanchez, who netted 13 times in 30 Ligue 1 appearances in his last spell at the Stade Velodrome.
