La Liga outfit Deportivo Alavés have on Tuesday announced a deal for an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at AC Milan.
Versatile youngster Romero, for his part, spent this past season plying his trade in Spain’s top-flight, with Almería.
Any chance of an extended stay at Power Horse Stadium was ultimately brought to an end upon Almería being relegated back to the 2nd tier, but Romero, evidently, did enough to convince another of La Liga’s clubs of his quality.
The outfit in question? Alavés.
The last week had seen reports spread in Spain that the Babazorros had begun actively working on a deal to bring Romero back to Spain.
And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday, such endeavours have borne fruit.
As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:
‘Luka Romero has become a new Deportivo Alavés player after the club and AC Milan reached an agreement for the loan of the young and talented winger. The Alavés club reserves an option to buy the player.’
