Alasdair Gold has shared what he’s learned about Tottenham Hotspur’s kits for next season.

The new campaign isn’t exactly around the corner with plenty left to play for at Tottenham this season. Ange Postecoglou will be hoping to deliver a top-four finish in his debut season at the club.

But with 13 games left to play this term, there have already been a few templates for next season’s kit doing the rounds on social media.

Now, Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has offered some insight into what Spurs fans may be able to expect from our new strips.

Gold shares what he’s heard about Tottenham’s new kits

Speaking in his latest YouTube video, Gold shared what he’s found out about our kits for next season.

“Quite interestingly, there are these things called colour-coding and these people far more into kits than me are able to find these out and that kind of gives them an idea of what the next kit design template is going to look like,” the journalist said.

“There are places like Footy Headlines and I was watching this guy on YouTube called ‘Gol De Sergio’ – a very enthusiastic young Spanish lad talking about kits and his database.

“From what I can tell, the home one, you’ll be shocked by this [he joked], is going to be white. But the colour scheme is going to be white, binary blue and binary blue.

“The fact there is binary blue twice, apparently, according to those far more expert than me, indicates there is going to be quite a lot more navy on it than normal.

“Having had a completely white shirt this time, it’s going to be more than just the sleeve trims than the current one has got. It will be interesting to see what that means and presumably, you think the navy shorts come back as well.

“Someone has pointed towards the Nike England kit for this year’s Euros, maybe that’s the way the Spurs kit will go. That England shirt has a really thick navy collar and also down the sides, under the arms. Maybe that’s what the Spurs one will look like.”

Gold then discussed what we can expect from Tottenham’s away and third kits.

“The away one, again according to these experts, it looks like it could be light blue, which I’ll be very happy with.”

“The third kit, we’ll see, only because what they were saying about that in various places is it’s going to be mint green,” he added.

“Technically, the colour scheme being speculated or pushed was enamel green, bicoastal and white, which is going to be mainly mint green and dark green with white touches to things like the logo.

“The suggestion was that the badge will be a bit of a classic, retro Spurs badge within a shield.

“I’ve been doing some asking around about that because I was intrigued about the idea of that and the feeling I got from talking to people, apparently there are some leaked versions of training wear and jackets for next season, which also have this look to them.

“But speaking to people I’ve spoken to, there seems to be this slight distancing from the mint green idea because A, it would be very similar in look to Chelsea’s third kit this season, which they don’t like to do.

“And secondly, it maybe wouldn’t be too much of a departure from the home kit and the whole point of having three different kits, as well as earning money, is also to have three distinct and very different kits to avoid kit clashes.”

It would be refreshing to see something a little bit different when it comes to our home kit next season.

As for the ‘retro’ badge, that would surely go down well with Spurs supporters. Many loved our kits during the 2017-18 campaign when the badge had a shield around it due to playing our games at Wembley Stadium.
