Alan Shearer has been talking about Alexander Isak.

The former United number nine reacting to press speculation that the striker could leave.

Claims that Newcastle United could sell Alexander Isak to Chelsea, after they allegedly made an approach.

From the Newcastle side of things, the logic in terms of the speculation, is that Isak may be sold to prevent the club failing to meet PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules), by exceeding the allowed £105m losses over any three season period.

Supporters very much in the dark and waiting to see what happens, if anything, with Alexander Isak and other Newcastle United players, as any sale would need to be agree this weekend if it was to be included in this season’s accounts and the three year accounting period ending 30 June 2024.

Alan Shearer talking to Betfair, reacting to media reports that Alexander Isak could potentially be sold to Chelsea:

“I am not that worried.

“I don’t think he will leave.

“I don’t think it can happen.

“Newcastle supporters would go mad if it happened.

“What he has brought to Newcastle and how good a player he is, I’m not sure Chelsea could afford him either.
