The 2022 Apertura tournament is coming to a close and it’s widely believed that Alexis Vega will be headed to Europe in the January window.
Vega has been trusted by Mexico manager Tata Martino and has been tipped to start in Qatar and replace Jesús Corona on the pitch.
Given this situation, the Guadalajara board does not want to rest on its laurels and are already looking for Vega’s replacement.
According to Fox Sports, Sporting Kansas City’s Alan Pulido has a desire to return to Chivas and the board have been considering bringing him back to the club.
Pulido has missed the entire 2022 MLS season after undergoing knee surgery. His current deal expires in December 2023, so Chivas will believe they can bring him back to the club in a cut-rate deal.
