As training sessions progress ahead of the 2025 Apertura and the Leagues Cup, Guadalajara has been assimilating Gabriel Milito's playing style more effectively, and it is becoming increasingly clear during the preparation matches that the Rebaño will be a more aggressive team in attack as well as a team with a better defensive performance.

It is true that there is still a lot of work to be done to reach the level that the Argentine coach is aiming for, and much of this is due to the fact that several players have shown that they are close to their best form. One of them is Richard Ledezma, who in just a few days has shown great flashes of brilliance by fulfilling various roles on the field, where he has demonstrated his technical quality and great understanding of the game.

In his last season playing for PSV, Ledezma mainly played as a right back, which allowed him to refine his defensive skills in duels and positioning. He was trained primarily as a midfielder, so by combining both factors, he has been able to evolve in an extraordinary way, which led him to play in the Champions League.

In his first games with Chivas, Richard has played in various roles during the preseason matches. He has already had minutes as an attacking midfielder, positioning himself between the lines and being a passing option to break pressure lines, as well as always looking to enable his teammates who are breaking away with passes into space. He also played as a wing-back, providing width or joining the midfielders to create numerical advantages and exploit spaces left by the opposition.

In fact, in the match against Mineros, Ledezma played closer to the central midfielder. In that role, he also made a good impression, as he contributed his skills to recover balls in defensive phases. With the ball, he moved quite well to give alternatives to the defenders and the defensive midfielder.

In the first preseason matches, Richard Ledezma has already scored a goal and provided an assist, making it clear that although he is just beginning his cycle with the Rojiblancos, he will be an important asset for Gabriel Milito's squad.
