Six months and seven brief appearances (87 minutes) after América signed Alan Medina from Toluca, the Eagles sent the player to Necaxa on a year-long loan.

Medina was actively involved with Los Rayos, making 27 appearances (18 starts) with the Aguascalientes side, contributing a goal and an assist in each of his two seasons away.

However, Medina will now report back to América, where he is still under contract until the end of 2024.

With Fernando Ortiz reportedly set to stay on as manager, Medina could now have a second chance to get himself into the side.

The 24-year-old could also potentially go on loan or be sold, as the Eagles are looking to rebuild following their early-season struggles.
