Francesco Farioli has been strongly linked with a move to Ajax, especially since Graham Potter reportedly ruled out joining the Eredivisie club. However, as the Italian looks to finish the season strongly with OGC Nice, there is no question of discussing his future.

Arriving from Turkey, Farioli has impressed in his debut season in Ligue 1, taking Nice back to Europe. With two games to go, Le Gym have the chance to secure UEFA Champions League qualification for next season. Farioli is dedicated to that task and amidst reports of an end-of-season move to Ajax, he is coy on whether he will guide OGCN in their European campaign next season.

“We’ve spoken about being in a bubble and we’re looking to stick with this idea. Speaking about me, about my personal case doesn’t really make much sense,” said Farioli in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News. The “bubble” that Farioli has sought to create in order to prevent reports of a departure from impacting his side, does not look like being burst for another week at least. However, once the final whistle goes in Lille next Sunday, the question of his future will be as pertinent as ever and he may not be able to shirk it quite so easily.
