Resurgent Ajax mustered a home-draw against runaway Eredivisie leaders PSV.

It was an even affair from the first whistle despite the two sides being separated by more than 20 points in the table.

The hosts struck the opening blow however, as Steven Berghuis fired home in the opening 20 minutes to set the Johan Cruyff Arena alight.

The Champions elect responded well however, reclaiming parity before the break through veteran striker Luuk de Jong.

The two rivals traded chances in the dying minutes but neither could find the finish to snatch a dramatic winner.

PSV remain unbeaten in the league this season, this their second draw of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Ajax sit level on points with fourth place AZ Alkmaar.
