According to Fabrizio Romano, Ajax scouts are currently monitoring Orlando City winger Facundo Torres, as the club are searching for future players. The 23-year-old Uruguayan talent is one of several players appreciated by Ajax scouts. It comes as no surprise as he’s experienced an incredible start to the MLS campaign with Orlando.

So far this season, Facundo Torres has scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 27 MLS appearances. His fantastic form has helped to propel Orlando up to second place in the Eastern Conference. The former CA Peñarol player has also represented the Uruguay national team on 14 occasions. Torres can play on either the left or right wing, which is certainly a trait that will tempt a club like Ajax.

Torres currently holds a transfer value of around €14m. It’s not certain that Ajax will make a move for him, but there is interest in the winger. The Amsterdam club have won just one game in their first four Eredivisie matches this season, so come January, they may need a new creative player.
