The visitors were on top of Ajax from the first whistle, and they were rewarded for their efforts just past the 15 minute mark.

A superb team move was capped off by a cool Albert Grønbæk finish to silence the home crowd and see Bodø/Glimt take a shock lead.

While Ajax pushed to pull themselves level, the complexion of the tie got even worse when some sloppy defending allowed Grønbæk to fire home from close-range and take a two-goal lead on the night, and in the tie.

A late sending off for Odin Lurås Bjørtuft and an Branco van den Boomen strike from the resulting penalty gave Ajax a lifeline.

The hosts took full advantage of the lifeline, as Steven Berghuis chipped the keeper in the final minute of stoppage time to snatch an unlikely draw in the dying moments.
