Ajax have offered an update on Edwin van der Sar’s condition after he was admitted to hospital on Friday.
It was revealed yesterday that the former Netherlands goalkeeper had been admitted to intensive care in Amsterdam after a bleed to his brain.

And now on Saturday the Dutch giants have released a statement via Van der Sar’s wife Annemarie.
The statement said: “Edwin van der Sar will remain in intensive care for the time being. His condition is stable but still concerning.
“Ajax shares this information on behalf of Annemarie van der Sar, Edwin’s wife. The Van der Sar family, along with Ajax, is grateful and deeply touched by the many messages of support.”
