Ajax’s nadir has reached a new level on Sunday with the capital club heading into the relegation places after their game with Utrecht was temporarily suspended.
The Amsterdam giants had been 3-2 up against Utrecht heading into the final quarter of that game.
But two late goals from Jens Toornstra and Oscar Fraulo saw the the hosts lead 4-3.
The match was then stopped as objects were thrown onto the pitch by the Ajax fans.
But after a stoppage of around five minutes, the game continued with Ajax losing for the fourth time this season.
This result means that Ajax are now second from bottom in the Eredivisie having won just once all season.
