Venezia manager Eusebio Di Francesco revisited his team’s recent defeat to Roma when he met with the media earlier today.
Speaking ahead of his team’s clash against Verona, Di Francesco encouraged his side to build on the positives from Sunday’s defeat against his former squad. The Giallorossi scored twice in the final sixteen minutes to hand Venezia their fourth defeat in six games.
“I was quite angry immediately after the game,” Di Francesco admitted.
“But after cooling down and thinking with a clear head, I saw many positives. Now, we need to build on what we’ve been doing, although it’s not easy.”
He continued, “I saw a team that created a lot of problems for Roma; we were a real nuisance. It takes time to get to where I want, but my goal is to put the players in the best conditions to perform.”
