Rumours of a possible move for Club América forward Nicolás Benedetti have emerged recently but the player’s agent confirmed everything is simply speculation.

Speaking to radio outlet Deportes Sin Tapujos, Benedetti’s agent Daniel Azcárate responded to the rumours.

“Nicolás is happy in terms of sport, he is growing, the club is happy with ‘Nico’ and he is happy in Mexico,” said Azcárate.

“At this time he will not return to Deportivo Cali, he is clear that he wants to continue growing internationally.”

“We have always been open to any possibility, that sportingly benefits Nicolás.”

“I have not discussed anything with the club at this time about a possible exit, the coaching staff takes this into account and as I said before, the club is very happy with Nicolás.”

While at Club América, Benedetti has seven goals and three assists in 41 appearances.
