After Toni Kroos agreement, Real Madrid will announce two more renewals ‘next week’ | OneFootball

An update on the ongoing efforts of the powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid to tie the club’s key performers down to terms beyond the summer has been forthcoming on Wednesday evening.

The headline news of the day to date in Madrid has of course come in the form of confirmation that Toni Kroos has come to the decision to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabéu for another year.

Ahead of the expiration of his current contract upon the season’s close, midfield maestro Kroos has informed the brass at Real of his readiness to put pen to paper on terms through 2025:

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, two more experienced members of Carlo Ancelotti’s ranks will imminently follow suit.

The players in question? Nacho, and Lucas Vázquez.

As per a report from Diario AS:

‘As AS learned, the club is also expected to announce next week the contractual extension for one more season of two of the youth players most loved by the Bernabéu fans: Nacho and Lucas Vázquez.’

Both club captain Nacho and right-back Vázquez were, like Kroos, due to see their respective deals in Madrid expire this summer.

But, after renewal negotiations ramped up over recent days, the pair can now be considered all but guaranteed to be part of the defensive ranks at the Bernabéu for the 2024/25 campaign.
