Adrien Rabiot will stay at Paris Saint-Germain this season but will not sign a new contract.
That’s according to French outlet RMC Sport, who claim Rabiot is enthused by the prospect of working with Thomas Tuchel, but isn’t willing to commit his long-term future to the French champions.
Rabiot is out of contract in June 2019 and will therefore be free to negotiate a free transfer to another club from January onwards.
And Italian outlet Tuttosport claim Juventus could be interested in signing the 23-year-old.
It wouldn’t be the first time the Bianconeri had landed a talented midfielder under similar circumstances. In 2011, the Serie A giants took advantage of Andrea Pirlo’s contract stand-off with AC Milan to snap him up on a free, before doing the same with Paul Pogba in 2012.
And this summer, Emre Can moved to the Allianz Stadium on a free transfer after letting his contract run down at Liverpool.
But if Rabiot continues to refuse to commit his future to PSG, Juve probably won’t be the only top European club interested in his services when January rolls around.
