Just over a year ago, Adil Rami won the World Cup with France.

This summer, he has gone through a high-profile break up with Pamela Anderson and now had his contract cancelled by Marseille.

It is being reported that the 33-year-old’s contract was cancelled after he missed training late last season to take part in a French reality show.

And it gets weirder. The show looked something like Crystal Maze or Takeshi’s Castle, where the contestants actually need to be fit.

So not only did Rami miss training, he also feigned injury.

“Adil Rami must question, deeply, his status, his profession as a professional footballer, his rights and duties as a player,” Marseille president Jacques-Henry Eyraud told AFP in July.

No wonder the club decided to cancel his contract.
