Adebayor talks ex-Arsenal teammate Arshavin: Crazy, imposing and a little strange | OneFootball

Emmanuel Adebayor is full of praise for former Arsenal teammate Andrey Arshavin.

The former Gunners striker says Arshavin was misunderstood by English fans.

Adebayor told RB Sport: “I know Andrey very well.

"Arshavin is a crazy guy and a good footballer. Why crazy? During my career, Andrey was a little strange. He always agreed to everything, was a super calm person. For example, to the question: 'Arshavin, will you play here?' - he always answered: 'Yes.'

'Andrey, do you understand everything?' Arshavin: 'I understand everything.'

"He never had fear on his face. They told him: 'Andrey, you are late,' he answered with a calm face: 'I know.'

"When he was asked a question, he answered briefly: 'I understand everything.'

According to Adebayor, Arshavin is a very imposing person.

“Andrey is not at all a lazy person, he is a very imposing person. Arshavin just behaved strangely, answered everything briefly, and facial expressions never changed. If you need to come at 10am, he will come at 10am, if you need to take everything seriously, he will do it.

"Arshavin, who was at Arsenal, is (Luka) Modric or (Eden) Hazard in terms of potential. He is a good footballer, but you can't compare him to (Lionel) Messi or (Cristiano) Ronaldo."
