Achraf Lazaar officially leaves Newcastle after contract agreement

Newcastle United have confirmed the exit of defender Achraf Lazaar.

The player has agreed to a mutual termination of his contract with the Magpies.

Lazaar has been with the club for the past four and a half years.

The 29-year-old never settled at Newcastle, and failed to produce the displays that would merit a regular starting spot.

He only made ten appearances in that time, and has now left on a free transfer.

Newcastle wished Lazaar well in a club statement on Thursday.
