Manchester United u18s took on Derby County away in a lunch time kick-off on Saturday.
It was a return to league action after Darren Fletcher’s side flew past Brighton & Hove Albion u18s in the Premier League Cup in midweek.
The young Red Devils opened the scoring in just the fifth minute through the sensational prodigy, JJ Gabriel.
Captain Amir Ibragimov then came close with an effort which was stopped by Derby keeper Cristiano Dzialuk.
It was truly the Gabriel show though with the 14 year old soon taking control of the match.
He hit the cross bar in the 13th minute before doubling United’s lead just a minute later from close range.
Samuel Lusale’s pace launched a quick break before the winger played to Gabriel on the left side of the box to finish into the far right corner for his hat-trick.
Derby made a change at half-time with the introduction of Remi Harveym who looked to make an immediate impact but his shot flew over the crossbar to United’s relief.
The one-way traffic continued through the match as United finished with 20 shots to Derby’s four.
Douka Nkoto was fouled in the 66th minute to earn a penalty which was confidently dispatched by Amir Ibragimov to secure the 0-4 victory.
The win makes it three wins from three for United in the league with 10 goals scored and having yet to concede.
United will host Burnley next time out on 13th September after the international break.
