AC Milan players are risking fines and suspensions after waving banners and making chants aiming offensive messages at Inter in yesterday’s parade to celebrate the Serie A title.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that fines are the likely punishment for the messages, while there could also be suspensions at the start of next season.

Several Rossoneri players were involved in the offensive messages, which most prominently included a banner imploring the Nerazzurri to “shove the Coppa Italia up your a**” following the heated semi-final clash which saw Inter advance to the final which they won.

A banner was also aimed at Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi, whilst Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic also implored fans to voice their displeasure with Hakan Calhanoglu who left Milan for Inter last summer, and encouraged offensive chants aimed at Inter generally.

The Nerazzurri are not planning to pursue any action against the Rossoneri, but the sporting judges will look into it and determine whether any fines or suspensions are warranted.
