Chelsea are in action against a fresh Leeds team today, and it was always going to be a tough game.

The only way that the out of form Blues could make it more difficult was to give away a silly goal, and that’s just what Marcos Alonso has done.

He’s given away an unbelievably bad penalty away, and Chelsea fans on social media are losing their rag – understandably. “Marcos Alonso is terrible. He is absolutely terrible,” moaned Jamie Wilkinson.

It was a totally excessive tackle for that situation, and one Alonso didn’t need to make. He’s looking clumsy in defence and in attack at the moment, and he’s certainly had enough games to shake off the rust by now.

The injury to Ben Chilwell is now looking like it’s going to cost us our chances of a Premier League title. We need to rally and win this game, or it’s game over.
